Burst out between the twin towers of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, fly south along the tracks of Shinjuku Station, cross the forest of Meiji Jingu and finish right above the Shibuya Scramble Crossing. A straight run through the heart of Tokyo.

ROUTE

The Route

01
Between the Government towers
Right after the start, you fly between the two main towers of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. The gap is about 70 meters, with a sky bridge linking the towers below. The course opens in a tight spot.

The Keio Plaza canyon
Next comes the canyon along Fureai-dori, with the Keio Plaza Hotel on your left and the Shinjuku Monolith on your right, about 55 meters apart. Clear the building beyond and head for the station’s west side.

South over the Shinjuku tracks
Turn right at the south exit and follow the tracks south. Past the Koshu-kaido bridge and Busta Shinjuku, the clock tower of the NTT Docomo Yoyogi Building rises on your left. After Yoyogi Station, the forest of Meiji Jingu is straight ahead.

Meiji Jingu and the Yoyogi Gymnasium
Cross the forest to fly right over the main shrine. Then run down the south approach and through Yoyogi Park, passing over the famous suspended roof of Yoyogi National Gymnasium.

Jinnan to the Scramble Crossing
Thread between the tall residential towers of Jinnan and head south with Shibuya PARCO on your right and Tower Records on your left. Drop down over the center of the crossing to finish.

The Government towers and the Keio Plaza canyon come one after another right after the start, and both rings are small. Set your heading and height before you reach them.
